In sports betting slang, "juice" is the bookmaker's cut (the vigorish). Commercial sportsbooks take ~4.76% of every standard line. The JuiceBox strips out the juice completely, balancing stakes so neither buddy faces negative EV.

NFL, college football and NBA lines and final scores come from ESPN's public scoreboard every 30 minutes. Finished games are graded automatically. The admin can still add or grade games by hand.
If the consensus line moves off a number or price shifts >5ยข (e.g. -110 to -116), open posted wagers remain active but enter Rematch / Offer Rebalance when a buddy attempts to match.
